Mental Health Professional

The Cannon Valley Special Education is seeking two (2) mental health professionals to provide CTSS (Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports) services within the educational setting. The MHP will provide mental health services to enable the student to self-monitor and cope within our Setting IV and make progress on outcomes identified in an individual treatment plan with the goal of returning the student to their home district. The MHP will collaborate with the families, classroom teachers/case managers, member district staff, county social workers, and outside service providers.

- participate in the building child study meetings
- provide support to staff, students, and parents
- support integrating social skills into the classroom
- participate in educational evaluations for students
- participate in team meetings to develop the IEP
- provide individual and group services to students
- collaborate and coordinate services with outside service providers

One or more of the following licenses are required:
- Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (LNP)
Additional Skills/Qualifications preferred:
- Experience working with students with EBD, ASD and/or DCD
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Maintain confidentiality and boundaries
- Knowledge of interventions and strategies in disability areas

Teacher on Special Assignment - 2 Year Assignment, Special Education License Required (LD, EBD, DCD, or ASD), pursuing administrative license preferred


Physical Education Teacher OR Developmental Adaptive Physical Education - 1.0 FTE, PE and/or DAPE license required

General Education Teacher - .5 FTE, licensed in art or music required
